Here we have the first dedicated artist release on Alt Recordings, which comes shrouded in mystery directly out of our inbox. We received a sparse email from one Daniel Schneider offering 3 tracks, 2 vague photographs, a batch of samples and a message along the lines of 'Like your label, here are three tracks for you. Take them or leave them! Peace - Daniel Schneider.' We have since tried getting in touch with this rogue producer but to no avail, but we wouldn't let that stop us putting out these tracks.

The Not Another Schneider EP, as we have affectionately titled it, contains some of the finest micro-sampling insanity we've heard in a long time. These tracks have an organic heart thumping at the core, eschewing industry standard beats and formulaic approaches to deliver a totally new listening experience.

So impressed were we by the tracks that we persuaded our good friend Tom Ellis (Joe's brother and the man behind Trimsound) to turn in a remix for us, and the results are blinding. Completed in a matter of hours, Mr Ellis has turned Miesekatze into a bleepy, bumping freak out of dancefloor-destroying proportions.
